Since the early age of 11 Vasco was a Cascais-based sailor and competed at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta in the Laser class. Later his career priorities switched to business. He successfully worked for Banco Espirito Santo in Lisbon, then Merrill Lynch & Goldman Sachs in London and Madrid while not giving up on sailing. After 18 years he left banking to start some angel investing. New page in life brought him back to native Portugal to give boost to Cascais’ sailing scene. SailCascais is a project of many years now coming to reality.

Diogo started sailing optimist with 6 years old, went on to sail Snipe, Match Race, ORC cruiser boats, SB20 and J70. Competed in 4 Rolex offshore races winning the Rolex Giraglia Cup. Has coached at different clubs and is now finishing his degree in Port Management.

Bernardo started sailing at the age of 9 first representing Portugal in Optimist class. Later he achieved several top 10 positions in Laser Radial class competing at World Championships. Finishing his master in Eletrical Engineering at IST he is also ILCA 4 and ILCA 6 coach at Clube Naval de Cascais.
